First premiering on Broadway in 1955, the play is set in 1950’s New York, and details what happens when Italian American dockworker Eddie welcomes two cousins from Sicily, Marco and Rodolpho, into his home. Soon Rodolpho and Catherine, Eddie's niece, take a shine to one another, setting in motion a tragic chain of events.
