Featuring three original plays written by playwrights from the Four-State Region and submitted as part of the 2023-2024 One-Act Playwriting Competition, the Festival will include the following: “Mick and Ernie Go To Therapy” by Mike Byham - Directed by Rory Dunn and featuring Richard Dobson, Tom Doty, and Amy Fox, this hilarious British-style comedy tells the story of two thieves who had just completed a job in North London. Trying to hide from the police, the two thieves run into an office and are confronted by a therapist who believes the two are there for couple’s counseling. What follows is a hilarious examination of the relationship between the two thieves under the specter of arrest! “Indigent” by F. J. Hartland - Directed by Angel Mullen and featuring Jesse L. Green, Chris Leatherman, and Tiffany Clark, this play tells the stories of six impoverished people, their lives, and the circumstances that lead each of them to their deaths and burials in the “pauper’s field” cemetery for the poor and unknown. “From Birth” by Don Narkevic - Directed by Jim Zuna and featuring Tannen Smith and Anna Ressler, this comedy with a heart tells the story of two babies in the womb who discover they are twin brother and sister. Their continuing discoveries about each other and life go beyond the obvious as they head toward their due date.
